Cabo San Lucas Villa Del Palmar
Has anyone purchased a time share through Villa del Palmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas. I need your thoughts …?
My parents are looking at a time share with this company and are currently in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Have you purchased a time share with them and was it worth it (cost wise, availability to get a room, etc.). Would you recommend them or not? Are there any hidden fees? Anything they should be worried about? Please let me know asap. Thanks
All the time shares are pretty much the same all over Mexico. I bought a time share in Puerto Vallarta and enjoy it very much. There are charges over and above the time share cost. Each year a maintanace fee has to be paid whether you use the facility or not and each year this increases. When you stay, a fee is charged for the daily use of the all inclusive at a reduced rate. Also some of the resorts use a company called RCI which you could be required to become a member at a price after the second year.
If the resort uses a high pressure sales pitch ( making you feel guilty for not purchesing a time share then back away fast.) Some people have been in tears when leaving the seminars.
This is something that should not be rushed into until you get all the facts about time shares. Once you buy one the resort will be at you to upgrade each year unless like myself you tell them to leave you alone.
Never pay the price they are asking. Make them give you a better price. It worked for me. They will tell you the price will go up if you don’t buy now. I told them I would be back before I left the resort and let them know what disision I would make, and if the price was more we wouldn’t be doing business.
